I have ogled and googled and just about every thing else trying to find out if I can down load the SD card to Mac and Light room. Perhaps I am not clear in my question --so here is what I do.
1. Take the card from my camera and place in my Mac.
2. Down load the card into a specific place in Light room. I shoot raw. Can I do this with the FZ200 or do I need some other device to get into light room.

I'm not sure if I understand the question, put here goes...if you remover the card from the camera and place it in the Mac than yes you can import directly to Lightroom. If you want to download the images from the camera to the Mac you would only need a USB cable that would allow you to so. Not sure this answers your question.

Thanks gs-- I hope I can because the camera is in a brown truck somewhere. Might have been quicker by PonyExpress.

There will be a USB cable that comes in the box with the camera. I find the easiest is to put the SD card in the Mac and import from it. I use Lightroom and use the import function which will import from the SD.

If all else fails load your photographs into a folder. Now you can check them out with any editing program from high end to low end. Quick and easy.

I have an FZ200 and download from the card directly into LR5. To download to a new folder select "somewhere else" for the file destination, navigate to where you want and click "New file", then choose it.

Thanks 76---I have a ranch that I down load to so I can keep all my wildlife stuff that I take there. I also found Graham Houghtons youtube sight and that has really helped me to get familiar with the camera thou' I don't have it in my grubby little hands. I understand that the instructions that come with the camera are not good. Perhaps you could give me some info on this camera especially the set up. Again thanks so much for your help.

Here's a link to Graham's free pdf book that contains all you need. All kinds of set ups explained, plus an index to take you straight to what you need. Click on the first download link.
Have fun.
