Is anyone going to the Orchid show at the New York Botanical Garden? I plan to be there tomorrow. Drop a note or a post here.

I went to that for several years when I was driving an elderly woman. As a matter of fact, we went to quite a few of the shows there. Unfortunately, weekends are not the best days to go because of the crowds. Arrive early. She had a membership and a handicap parking pass, so we parked for free close to the entrance and didn't have to pay to get in. Going on my own, the trip, gas, tolls, parking, and admission are a bit too pricey for me.

Please post some pictures.

Went there last week and it was amazing as always. I would suggest going either on a weekday or early on weekends as it gets crowded. See a few of the shots I took.

Nice shots. Speaking of crowds, I remember certain photographers hogging shots indefinitely, while others were standing there waiting to shoot. Uncrowded is definitely better. It's the same with the train show - great on week days, not so good on weekends.

The train show usually occurs during the Christmas season and it takes place at the Botanical Gardens in the Bronx, NY. If you like trains and want to spend time indoors, the exhibits are amazing.

Fantastic show featuring large, German, all-weather trains. All the buildings are made from plant material by a small company in Kentucky? West Virginia? Not sure where. It's different every year.

Photo #3 is excellent. Have you tried converting to B&W? Might be very interesting. If you do convert, please post results. I have B&W close up photo of an Iris - it's beautiful. Just a suggestion.

I may just do that. Never thought about a conversion to B&W but who knows. Thanks for the comments.
