1-5-12 Photo A Day Challenge- Day 5

I spotted this yesterday ... those colors stuck out against the desert colors. I was driving by 40mph and grabbed the camera and didn't even take the time to make sure it was in focus .... Got super lucky the camera was set on auto.
It turned out to be a Cancer Survivors Plaza .... Very cool
I still have to get out and take my shot for today but wanted to start us off.
I can't wait to see what y'all post :)

that's awesome! I love when drive bys turn out great & are in focus. (I do this all the time when I'm on the back of the bike) :D

It looks like a nice place. You should try to get a couple of close shots, maybe one of the sculpture with a column in the background (through that frame).

I will do that thanks ... it's at Reid park where I go all the time ... just never noticed it on the opposite side before ... thanks for the inspiration.

Taking off for a few hours to go to Patagonia Lake State Park ... 265 acre man made lake in southern AZ. It looks awesome .. I'm hoping to get some nice shots. Be back later on. :)

I'm back ... here is where we spent the morning .... this is straight out of the camera ... I haven't had a chance to see if any others of the 128 shots I got today turned out.

I liked this foot bridge
just couldn't get the whole thing in the way I wanted to
then I took this one ... laying on the ground again LOL had to snap it quick while the dog was not wondering what the heck I was doing

doing inside work today when through the window I noticed canada goose across and the river and a little bit of sun trying to poke through.
I put on my shoes, coat, scarf and hat and grabbed the camera...then I reached for the mail to take it out to the box when I saw...something like this. ok I did stand there and take a few.
Since I have been on the hog...I have learned to minimize the pic which I do in windows live. Before I did that I cropped a bit and smudged (bandaided) the return address in Elements..ELEMENTS.....this is the 3rd pic for which I met with some success there
I know it may seem a faux pas to say thanks...but I do
