Thought you all would enjoy seeing some photos I've taken of insects and arachnids over the past couple of years! I'm a sucker for following bugs around for hours on end. I also enjoy the strange looks I get when I'm lying on the ground, pointing my camera at a stem near a walkway for twenty minutes. Gotta love photography!

This is my first post, so I'm very excited to receive feedback. I hope you enjoy! Most of these were taken with a Sony a230.

Very nice Kaperture!!! What lens were you using. And were these all natural light? These are pretty good shots!!! You have the eye for this and the patience.:) Did you know we have a micro forum here? They can help you with your work in micro. They have some awesome folks there and can tell you ways to get your shots to be awesome. They make their own flashes with all kinds of defusers that are home made and makes it affordable to play. You should take a look!!!

Oh wow, I had no idea about that resource! Thank you! And thank you so much for the feedback. These were all indeed in natural light. I have yet to own even a single external flash. Soon! Some of the photos were shot with my standard 18-55mm Sony lens, but most of them were with a Sigma 50mm f/2.8 Macro lens. It also came with a "Life Size Attachment" filter that I sometimes use.

Great series Kaperture, I also use the same lens for a lot of my close up work, good choice
