These friends were taken a few years ago. They are back and I hope that the weather will cooperate so that I can visit them again. Spring has sprung here in South Texas. Thanks for viewing .

Thanks Pat. I just looked at your Eagle pictures and they are very nice. I have visited this location several years ago and got a few good shots. I just needed more glass. At the time I had thought about trying to locate the owner to see if I could shoot from the other side on the ranch property. Got chicken and did not follow thru. Guess I was afraid I would be turned down. Its happened before.

Thanks for looking and the comments on the eagles!
I drove over there. The view would be a lower view as not as good as the fence line. Visited with the owners and didn't even bother asking for permission. Although, if you got over there now, you could see what is going on with the training of the juveniles down by the river.

The first one is awesome not saying the other two aren't but definitely can see why the first one is your favorite. Unfortunately we don't get the painted buntings up here so I have never seen one live but that photo is the next best thing. Great work.

Terrific photos! I, too, am partial to the bunting. And in looking him up, I found that it is possible he will be a visitor at my feeders - I certainly hope so.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks to all for the kind comments. May I add that if you look closely the bunting seems to have brush strokes as if it had been painted instead of photographed. I guess that is why they are called painted buntings ==Duh.
