Just got LR5 for MacBook. It won't import from iPhoto, only "pictures". I can't navigate to iPhoto from within LR5. I think I need a resource to learn how to use LR5. What suggestions do you have? BTW, UHH is great!

I believe there have been issues with IPhoto working with Lightroom 5.
Here's one link explaining:

LR5 has many online sources for information that are free. Simply do a search on the subject.

Should you decide to invest in an instructional source, I've used George Jardine's DVDs for several LR versions and find his instructional method to be very compatible with my imaging. The DVDs are inexpensive and worth both your time and money.
You can reach his blog via: http://mulita.com/blog/

If I remember correctly you can even check out his DVD samples there as well.

I am new to LR and ran into the same problem. My work around while learning was to export one album from iPhoto to desktop and then import into LR5. If you find a better way, please post or let me know directly and I will do same. Wanted to learn how LR works and try it to be sure that I will use it before trying to figure out how to efficiently link to iPhoto for direct import to LR5.

Excellent tutorial. Doesn't matter that it's 4. Scroll down: it's free.

I've been using Lightroom sense it came out, this is excellent for the current version - thanks for sharing the link.

I learned about the tutorial here and paid for it. Well worth the money. The Nik tutorials are also excellent (on the same site).
