Looks like a giant Mandrake root or something, sort of anthropomorphic.

Really nice tree pictures there RE. I also love trees, but seldom set out to photograph them. Still, I have hundreds of mostly lousy tree pictures. Here are several I kind of like.

Hi BigDaddy, glad you enjoyed the ones I posted, your's are all very nice! I often shoot off a photo or two or three when I see a downed tree...they always capture my eye!
