So now it's just a matter of what she decided on.
I almost hate to end the conversation, but have decided on a title. Well, by that I mean "non-title". I am not titleling the actual photo, per se. Don't throw things at your computer, no swearing, pick your jaw up off the floor. Your titles were so amazing...really. But I also learned what should have been very obvious to me at the start. What I thought when I snapped the photo~a lone, beautiful, pristine tree in front of a stark, probably fire-laden crop of trees~would then and forever on be a picture that I could, as Nikron7 said, "get lost in". Sometimes creating a feeling of cold, stark, lonely existence, but more often than not, reminding me of the strength within. Before you get too frustrated (tracey :) ) I have decided on what I will call the photo informally...you know, so I can say to my husband "could you please grab the such and such photo to take to the photo contest". I mean after all, I wouldn't want to say "grab the non-titled photo". Right? Right. So, since I practice Bikram (hot) yoga regularly, I've chosen to (NOT)name it after "tree pose", which in Sanskrit is "Tadasana". That's what I see, a deep breath, mental clarity and focus, and most of all strength. All of your suggestions, and yes, I mean all of them helped bring me to that non-title. Well, off to the mountain for a weekend of snowboarding!
Thank you! OriginalCyn
