I am a classic car nut so number 2 ringed my bell excellant as Mr Burns would say :!: by having the corvette in a classic gas station you are one up on many of the car shots outthere because you have a complimentary backgrond. the red and white gas pumps match the color of the car and keep the viewers interest. background does not distract excellant work. I would make an 8x10 print and hang er on the wall

Hey "problem." Sorry you didn't get much action on your submissions. I personally can't make it around to everyone. Seems like I'm even sleeping at my computer and still can't keep up. Just getting old, I guess. :-)

I like your shots, especially the corvette. I'd like to get my mits into that old house in the background. Looks like it's a throwback to before my youth and maybe full of old goodies.

I'm going to respond to your other post of the cactus and "Bird of Paradise," right here. My take on it is that the background on the first 2 shots is just overwhelming not only your flowers but your viewers as well and it's all so dense that it would be a very difficult task to do much with either of the top 2. The train is a nice clear, clean shot that might benefit from a little more contrast but that's just the way it appears to me here on my monitor - yours may look different.

Based on what I'm seeing on my monitor, the abandoned cave dwelling might stand to have a little more color and contrast for definition and perhaps a little less light. I've taken the liberty of demonstrating my meaning and you will have to decide on your monitor if what I've done makes sense or not. All have good clarity and focus. I might frame them a little differently but that's just me.

That tweak helped me know what it was I was actually looking at, gessman.

Problem Child: Put my vote in for the corvette pic, too
