Did anyone get any meteor shower pics? I was out until almost 3am here, was supposed to peak at 1am, but the clouds never broke enough for me to even see the stars much less any meteors.
Would love to see what you guys on the East coast got, it was supposed to a better view out there.

It's been cloudy here for days, so I didn't even try.

I've been wanting to get some star photos - celestial, not Hollywood - but it's been too cloudy every night.

I left the shade up that night so I could see from bed if there were meteors. Woke up at 5:30 a.m. and couldn't see anything. Debated getting up because if I woke up too much I wouldn't get back to sleep. These things are once-in-a-lifetime opportunities in my mind, so I decided to take the consequences (what's a couple hours of sleep compared to a meteor shower?). I got up, but saw nothing happening (I did put my glasses on). Went back to bed and couldn't get back to sleep!

I still have memories of that spectacular meteor shower several years ago. And I had a nap later on during this day.

It was nice and clear here on L.I. at 5:30 - 6:00 AM, but too cold to go outside. It was about 20°. So, I sat on a chair in my family room and watched the skies. Didn't see a darn thing although I thought I spotted some very faint streaks out of the corner of my eye.

In any event, I marked August 11th & 12th on my calendar for the Pleiades. It'll probably rain.
