I was passing through here late afternoon and I decided I had to take this picture, stopped the car and banged a couple of shots off.
The idyllic village of Oldhurst and its duckpond.
I was passing through here late afternoon and decided I had to take this picture, stopped the car and banged off a couple of shots. This is the village of Woodhurst NOT Oldhurst. Who needs Google when the wife knows everything?

Nice photo. Great composition, color and sharpness. A week sitting there with tea/coffee/cocoa/single malt, depending on the time of day would be restoring.

Thanks Sirius, yes there are quite a few thatched cottages in this area, I could never afford the insurance to live in one sadly - that is if I could afford to buy one in the first place!
