ISO was way down ( from previous shot )...so this one was almost a lost cause until I cranked the exposure in ACR, and cropped it down. This kind of resurrection always amazes me....
f8 , 1/1000 , iso 100
multiple ACR tweaks, and a crop....then "Neat Image Noise Reduction"

That is amazing, good PP.
thanks man. I fired off a series of about 6 shots , without taking time to really change any settings. The whole series was ( I thought) a waste. So, what did I learn ? not so much that i can fix it, but that higher ISO and maybe a tad slower shutter would have yielded this originally. So, two birds with one stone, ...so to speak.
Nice work Phoneguy. Your right about the miracel of the PP. The first time I did that with a pic in Iphoto i was shocked. What i thought was a lost due to dark indoor conditions became a decent photo of our churches May Crowning ceremony last spring.
it is amazing how much info is hiding in the shadows, although it did bring out a lot of noise with 100% exposure in ACR,...that's why a " denoise" pass was needed. Obviously it's best to be "right on" with in-camera exposure, but this shows me that a tad under is better than a tad over.
