Having an off day.
I totally suck today. Couldn't take a decent photo to save my life... I even took all the toys I own with me just in case.... and nothin.
Do y'all ever have days like that ?

Yes. I also have days where I am all ready to go out and shoot and when I get there the inspiration just doesn't strike me.

I was totally unprepared mentally for what I found on the memory card when I got home ... I can't even pp them and make them look good ... now that's really sad.
are you sure...? Maybe they are not that bad.

I might have gotten 2 or 3 shots out of all of them ... most of them look like this .... almost but not quite there. Even the close up trees are not in focus. Granted I had to grab the camera quick and appeared in focus to my eyes today ... I think LOL ...

You do have a nice line of trees from the left that lead up to the train. You definitely have a picture that leads the eyes where you wanted them to go even if you think the rest is bad. I like it. It's definitely better than some of the bad ones I have taken.

It's the digital age. Lousy shots? Just delete them, think how you could have made them better, than go out and fire away again. The other day I set up for sunset colors over the LI sound. Did everything right, tripod, f/22, ISO 100, colors beautiful, light perfect. My photos stunk. Deleted them all, went out the next evening, did some bracketing, and managed to get a couple of nice ones after all. I guess what I'm trying to say is, yes, happens to us all, and myself very frequently, but in the end you will get your shots and be proud you had to work for them. Whew, hoped that helped a bit. :) :)

Actually yes it did help a lot. I haven't tried bracketing yet .... so thanks :)
I categorize my pictures in three files: stink, stank and stunk. Gee, I wonder where I've heard that before??
Considering how many "on" days you have, I wouldn't sweat it! You are right though...you were off. That's why they invented delete buttons. I've seen your good stuff. You are a great photographer. Keep snappin' :)

That's great, Ramsey! Remember the 3 s's. I'm going to open a new folder dedicated to these.

Don't worry about it. Who knows how much crap Michelangelo painted that he threw in the fire? Who knows how much junk Shakespeare crumpled up and tossed out? Not everything from everybody is a masterpiece every time.
Go back out tomorrow and see what you get.
