A fellow Nikonian at a Nikon photo class mentioned this site as a good place to post photos and receive gentle criticism. I thought I'd check it out. I'm Mary, and I've been photographing digitally for about 8 years. Two years ago I purchased the (nearly new) dslr I'm still using, a Nikon d200. I've been posting on another photo community, but have seen a migration of some of my friends from that site. Hoping to continue improving my captures.

Nice work Mary, welcome to the Hog. I don't know about the 'gentle' criticism, but it's a helpful site, that's for sure.
(Joking about the gentle... everyone here is very gentle :-D )

Great Pics Mary51.. I used to run Geocaching trips, Im now running photo trips. My south Jersey trip will first stop at Might Joe the 25 ft Gorilla, then to atsion lake and across the street to photo the old church, log cabins, mill chimney, the Mullica where u can walk across it a grave yard from the 1600's and an old train bridge. Next stop is a blue berry field to get pics of the rows of bushes, then on to Batsto to get the old buildings, the mill, museum old buggies etc, if time left off to Crowleys landing for more Mullica shots. Trips are free, you follow in your car, bring lunch comfortable shoes, and charged camera batteries. Bring friends, family , not sure if pets are allowed in Batsto, Thats in April, no date yet, next trip is to Ringing Rock in Pa to shoot bolder fields and to shoot the waterfall, no date yet waiting for the water to start flowing again. If your interested send me a message.
