This is one of the few times I shot in Manual mode and I would love some feedback. This is my 15 month old on our short trip this past weekend. These photos are unedited with the exception of the black and white.

#1 is very good apdawn but I would like to have seen more room above her head. Good exposure and sharp.

Forgot to mention: I like the B&W one too.

You have a knack for capturing the moment and good composition. You might experiment with contrast, burning and dodging to emphasize the important and de-emphasize the secondary aspects of your shots.

You captured the joy of the day so beautifully! I love the compositions and angle of view of #3 and 4.

On the b&w, you might try a little more contrast, maybe a bit of sharpening.

Thank you very much!
Papa Joe, after seeing the shot, I thought more space was needed above her head too. Thanks for your advice!

artBob, I will work on post editing with your advice in mind. Thanks!

Linda from Main, thank you very much! I did a very quick edit of the black and white. I'll work on upping the contrast and try to sharpen the image a bit.

#1 has a tilted horizon...the rest are nice, I especially like the hand in the sand b&w shot...

The second, third and last shots are very good. The first shot doesn't not work. Tilted horizon, crop too close to top of head and wide angle up close makes child look larger than life. Moving back and using about 70mm setting on lens keeping lens at eye level of child with a lower warmer sun over shoulder will give a nice warm glow to her skin. These are just my opinions and working with small children sometimes you take what you can get. Three out of four is very good, keep shooting and enjoy the photos you take.

Numbers 1&2 are my favorites. I like that you got down on her level.

Beautiful shots of such a gorgeous little girl, apdawn! I agree with what was said about more space above her head in #1 and the tilted horizon needing to be straightened. Love the black and white shot! :) You're good!

Nice set apdawn, good eye, and I like the Mono, great little shot. One thing that would make life easier for you, -have you got a grid facility in your Cameras features, if so it's worth turning it on, it will let you see if the picture is straight which will avoid crooked sky lines.
Im not criticising, just offering a little help.
