People Who Died From A Marijuana Overdose
With recreational pot now for sale in Colorado and widespread confusion over a recent satirical story that jokingly claimed 37 people had already died of a marijuana overdose, we figured it might be about time to update our weed death count.

There's only been one and the fool tried to eat a few pounds of it to avoid arrest stopped by police and clogged up his pipes with too much fiber. Doofus. Waste of good fiber!!

I wasn't aware that anyone had asked the question so am surprised to see that the huffpost even cared to respond.
Are there corresponding statistics for the number of people who used marijuana as a gateway drug and subsequently died from overdosing on something else?

I was watching a 'Cops' show recently. An elderly lady called the police when she and her husband got into an argument. When the cop arrived he smelled marijuana and found a stash in the lady's cig pack. She explained to the officer that she had a litany of ailments and that weed was the only thing that worked. He arrested her and told her that he would refer her to a doctor to get legal medication.

I watch some of the advertisements for all the legal drugs that are supposed to help you live longer and increase the quality of life .... the list of side effects are so scary I would refuse to take them even if some physician tried so hard to convince me I needed them. Pah!! I have made my family promise me that when I am senile and can't decide for myself, they will not allow doctors to give me such things then either.
