See what happens when we allow just anyone to have access to these grisly weapons.

I've got a kitchen full of those dangerous weapons and I'm always injuring myself. Ban them all.

Gun control works, none of the victims were shot.

If only one had a gun, maybe 27 innocent lives would have been saved.

Please note that the report mentioned that there were multiple assailants, of whom five were killed by the police. I didn't see any total mentioned. In a crowd of unsuspecting people a knife wielding assailant willing to die could do a great deal of damage before being subdued. Good thing they weren't using firearms, isn't it, since someone with a knife has to be pretty close to his/her victim?

Lol...so what?

The whole point of this is to show the illogic of banning the object that people use to kill other people.

You can make up reasons why this is different...that's fine...but it isn't.

What is illogical about noting that that killers armed with firearms are capable of killing more people more rapidly than killers with knives? Had the New Town killer been carrying a Bowie knife he'd probably been subdued pretty rapidly, don't you think?

BTW, please don't jump to conclusions that I am "anti gun."
I shot competitive target in college and have hunted. One of the sad things about the current firearm "debate" is that those on BOTH sides are so quick to jump to conclusions and demonize those who disagree. This sort of thing makes rational discussion virtually impossible.

Discuss it all you want, just don't expect rational people to side with you.
