Nikon has a recall on the D600

Actually not a recall but a service advisory. Looks like they decided to own up on the sensor spot problem

They'll replace the shutter on this side of the Pond as well, if you ask them to. Got mine done and no problems since.

Who is "they"? Cameras seem to be a bit like everything else these days - bits made here, bits made there, bits made somewhere else. So - who pushes the button to say 'recall'. My D600 has been away for 3 weeks now and we've only just learned that it got sent to Australia (across the ditch!). Our suppliers didn't know that the 600 had been recalled until we sent them the Nikon url. Not happy!

Nikon. Didn't they own up to the sensor spots on the D600 over a year ago? Many people here on UHH who bought D600's and found sensor spots sent them back and many were replaced by the D610 unless I am mistaken. Good luck with yours.
