We're getting a lot of these up here. It appears to be the head or top of a wind turbine tower.

Thanks for the replies. It is the top of a wind turbine. There are so many all over I thought it would be easily recognized.

Figured that's what it was. It's a great shot considering the height of those things! Somewhat different housing config. from the ones we have around here.

They are all over Germany along with solar panels.

I did not recognize it either. Georgia doesn't have them. The windiest part of the state is under the State Capitol dome.
