new problem can anyone help me

I have a new problem. I was able to correct the problem I was having with the shutter going to slow for me. Now it is perfect. In fixing it I changed the pictures to be saved as raw but now I have no way of viewing or saving to computer then to phone so I can share them. I use my bosses laptop to transfer pics to my phone last time I posted but can't now. I can't download software to his laptop so is there another way to save them while taking pics so I can retrieve them later? Also how do I retrieve those I have just taken?

Sorry for being so long winded.:) and thanks for any help you have
Mistie

Perhaps if you tell use the Make Camera and model. Shooting Raw is a different ball game then JPEG. You need to convert the RAW to JPEG to view it in a cellphone and will need a Codex (program) to view it in your computer.

Don't know the camera you are using but it probably came with software with a raw converter but you would have to load that software onto a computer first then download your pics into the program to get JPEGS. ;)

To save and view on phone or to send to others the file needs to be in the .jpg format. You can upload from the camera in the raw format but you will need to use software like LightRoom to convert them to the jpg format. Since you can not install software on the boss's computer take the pictures in jpg format only and not the raw. The slight delay in shutter may return due to the fact that the camera is compressing the picture to that format but it should be very slight. Unless you are planning to use some sort of post production software to edit your pictures the jpg format should work for you perfectly.

Since you do not seem to have your own computer and as such cannot install the software or option you need, the only real solution is to either revert shooting in JPG or RAW+JPG, preserving some of your pictures for a later editing...

To keep your pictures you have three solutions:
Purchase an external drive to transfer your images there in order to retrieve them at a later time.
Keep purchasing memory cards until such time you have your own computer.
Store them on a web site like shutterfly.

For the pictures you have just taken in RAW you just cannot use them in the conditions you describe*. They are not lost, they are just out of reach for the time being.

I did a quick search and discovered this:

I have not tried it so I cannot vouch but if other sites offer the same services, you are in luck. You will need a fast internet connection thought.

Shoot in RAW+JPEG and you have both formats.

mistiefountain, at your level of expertise I would heed the advice posted by others in this post. However, I would stick exclusively to JPEG format and forget about RAW until you have learned the basics of photography and have adequate equipment to process your photos (i.e. a computer and post processing program). JPEG will fill all your needs for now. That is my opinion and I wish you all the best.
