HDR (kinda)

Spent some time messing with HDR. (Something to do while I fight off a cold) I merged a photo and a Corel Painter X version to get this. It's not really a photo but it's not really a painting. It was interesting enough to ask other opinions

I don't understand, when you said, this is not really a photo- clearly this was at some point taken with a camera, unless you created it from "scratch" in PP (good job!). But to me it looks like a photograph and from your work (with it), I can't see anything that would suggest HDR.
