Lightroom V5 Printing question

Trying to print 4X6 prints. Works OK but I don't seem to be able to make borderless prints. Anyone know if this can be done? I've attached a screenshot of my setting - it appears there's a .12 border all around. It will not let me make it zero.

Printing borderless is a function of the printer so, ensure printer is connected and switched on, in the LR print Module
select "Printer" and in the printer properties find Borderless and set it up accordingly. Something to be aware of, my Epson will not allow borderless printing in draft or text mode or when using plain papers.

Once the printer is set, then you can move the sliders in LR Layout to 0.0 and increase the cell size to match the paper.

I am using Lightroom 5.3 and a Canon Pixma IP6600D printer. I, too, can find no way to print a borderless 4x6 print. I can print borderless prints easily using the Canon Easy-PhotoPrint EX utility. I can find no "Printer" option in the LR Print module, nor does selecting "borderless" in Print Setup give me borderless printing.

I double checked for a borderless option either in LR5 print setup and also examined the printer properties and had no luck.

Blow by blow account:

Open LR5 and select an image for printing
Open Print Module
Ignore all settings in LR for now and go to either "page set up" on the bottom left of the screen or to "Printer" on the bottom right of the screen (see screen shot one)

Pressing either of these 2 buttons will take you to the Printer dialogue box. Click on Properties.

The third screen shot shows MY printer set up dialogue, it will almost certainly be different to yours, but here is where I will tell LR and the printer that the output is to be borderless. You cannot do this in Lightroom, it must be done in the printer properties screen.

. . . Continued from above

When you are happy with the printer set up, paper size, colour management, paper type etc, and you have ticked the appropriate box for borderless, click OK and return to LR.

You will return to the Print Properties dialogue as in Screen two, click OK on this and return to LR as in screen one.

Now set up LR :

Check the "Zoom to fill"
Check the "Rotate to Fit"

In layout move the first 6 sliders as far to the left as possible
Move the cell size slider completely to the right
Click Print

What printer do you have?

Thanks, Searcher. I followed your instructions and was finally able to see a borderless print on the computer screen. But when I hit the "Print" button (several times) nothing happened. Maybe if I have some time to pursue this further, I will. But for the time being, I'll just use Easy-PhotoPrint EX.

This does sound silly but it can happen:

After pressing the print button in Lightroom, if nothing appears to be happening, minimize Lightroom and you MAY find a new dialogue from the printer underneath. When I want a preview from my Epson, invariably the preview window is hidden by LR and when it first happened I thought my wireless connections were zonked.

Thanks again. I'll check that out. (But I still think Easy PhotoPrint is easier.)
