You may want to check out the Lee system also. I saw one recently and the quality level looked very high, higher than the old Cokin system I had years ago.

While the Cokin filter holder is nice, the filters are not of the highest quality. I add an attachment, shot with a Cokin Grad, and it shows a very strong color cast into magenta. I then bought a Lee filter, but did not like it, because there was almost no difference at all. Now I have a few Singh Ray filters and I'm happy with them. Picture shot on Velvia 100.
