Though I usually end up in sheer agony from the cold, I spend many hours outside photographing this remarkable bird.
Most of these were taken at Lock & Dam 14, in LeClaire, IA. Some are from other spots along the Mississippi.

are these from the Iowa side or Illinois side? Heading there in a day or two. Often go to Fulton at 13.

Beautiful set...I hope I have this much luck myself when I photograph them a few more miles south on the Mississippi at Reelfoot Lake.
