Arlington Flyover

This is a short video about the recovery of the remains of two pilots lost in Laos in their A-26 Invader on a night interdiction mission, 8 July 1969. It was the last loss of an A-26 in SEA. One of the aircraft in the flyover is an A-26. It is escorted by two P-51s. The 4-ship are Czech L-39s performing the Missing Man. A B-25, "Mitchell" led the flyover.

This event is also a testament to patriotic civilian pilots honoring two fallen heroes and simultaneously looking sideways at sequestration. That's about as politely as I can say it....

Thank you for posting the link. Brings a tear or two.

I wear a MIA bracelet for Maj. Morgan Donahue whose plane went down in Laos in 1968. Maybe some day I'll be able to remove that bracelet...

On Veterans Day and 4th of July the "Ghost Squadron," of Texan military trainers, based at Van Nuys, CA, flies in formation all over the Los Angeles area. They also fly in honor of the passage of noted airmen. Very touching and thrilling, and such volunteers seldom receive the recognition they deserve.

Mahalo for your support of our MIA. I was able to remove mine in 1998. Our military needs to be supported at the highest levels for they give or have given more than any other group of people within our country.

Mahalo for your response. It is always thrilling when I see the "Ghost Squadron" fly or Thunderbirds, Blue Angels etc. I can remember standing at the end of the runway at Shaw AFB as the Thunderbirds flew overhead. What a thrill. Our veterans deserve the best treatment our government can give.

I love the big military airshows for many reasons and especially enjoy the flyovers where they mix modern aircraft with classic warbirds like Mustangs in formation. The Blue Angeles and T-Birds are of course always a highlight as well.

Mahalo!! So glad you were able to remove your bracelet. How wonderful that must have felt!

We Vietnam veterans have a saying. All gave some, but, some gave all.

I do thank you for your service. Even though I spent 20 years in the Air Force as a wideband equipment repairman/technician/superintendent, I never served within a war zone. Had many friends who had and a few did give their all. For those who have, they hold a special place in my heart and all I can say is Thank You and May God Bless.
