I finally bit the bullet and got very lucky. Last Thursday I called Hunts Photo & Video to inquire about the lens. I was told they had a shorter list of buyers than the other big online stores. I was told their next shipment may be on 2-14-14, but that unless I prepaid, I would be placed at the bottom of the list. I gave them my credit card, and got a call from them on Monday, two arrived and long story short, I will have my new lens on Thursday. Sometimes it pays to patronize and support the smaller stores.

I will go out, shoot, and will post some shots by this weekend. Can't wait for Brown to get here. Gary

Congratulations!! I can't wait to see your photos. I have been so impressed with Regis's photos that I have decided to purchase that lens,also......as soon as it is available for Nikons. I never thought I would consider anything but Nikon glass.

Thanks to everyone who has responded to this post. I am a Canon shooter and feel the same as you, never thought I would consider any glass but Canon's, I feel a bit guilty, but the results I have seen so far is too impressive, especially at this price point. I just found Regis's photos, and am getting excited? Thanks, Gary

I have not see Regis's photos, can you send me a link, or user name? Thanks, Gary

Go to the top of the page and click User list. In the first box type in Regis. Click the "Find by User name". Two Regis will pop up. He is the first one. He is in Idaho. Click on his name and his profile will come up. Click on the word "list" after Number of Topics created and a list of all his posts will come up. A lot of his posts have Tamron 150-600 in the title.

I am a Nikon shooter and feel the same way about Nikor lenses but I can't wait until the local camera shop gets one in for Nikon. They have all ready had several in for Canon and they are gone the same day they come in. I have all ready gave in and have several other Tamaron lenses and really like them.

I finally bit the bullet and got very lucky. Last... (show quote)

Have they even advertised that lens yet. It seems to be selling very well, with Nikon users waiting impatiently. Sigma must be a bit upset.
