Moved from aperture to lightroom which is great, however I did like the photostream feature of aperture! What I'd like to do is use lightroom but upload some photos to aperture's photostream.... Any ideas very welcome?

what are the advantages of Lightroom vs. Aperture?
Apple has integrated iPhoto and Aperture so that seems to be an advantage. What was your reason to change?

I did the same thing recently. I still use ICLOUD to sync my iphone to my photostream and a copy of
PHOTOSTREAM2FOLDER - then set up LR to use a specific folder as "watched" - whatever Photostream2Folder dumps into that watched folder ends up in LR imported into a Photostream folder.

It works as good as or better than Aperture syncing with ICLOUD in my opinion.

Here is a D/L link:

Not sure what advantage there is to integration between Iphoto and Aperture - they both are image management products, IPHOTO is consumer level and Aperture professional level.

That being said, I switched mainly due to Apple dropping Aperture recently in favor of a new consumer level product.

Now, once I finally got into LR, I wish I had switched earlier.

I think LR does a much better job at many things over Aperture.

With Aperture I found that I almost always needed to go to a plug in for noise reduction.

Tweaking raw photos was a bit of work constantly going out to plugins and other packages (Topaz, Photoshop Elements, etc.)

Once I moved to LR I was amazed how little I now had to make use of plugins. NR in LR is great!

I jumped on the CC package and went for the 10.00 a month deal for photographers - LR + PS + BR how can you beat that?

I do feel my photography has improved, much due to better post processing in LR.
