Hello from Virginia!
I've enjoyed photography for a very long time, mostly nature and landscape stuff with some macro thrown in. I usually haul around a pack full of camera stuff on my hikes.
In the next year, I'd like to get better at post production work.

Welcome. I love hiking as well; and, like you, I also pack lots of camera stuff with me on my hikes. The go light people would think I'm nuts. The photo here is really good. I'd say you should keep carrying the equipment if these kind of results are typical.

Nice job, if your shutter was faster, you wouldn't have gotten that silky look of the water.
