Since my wife and I are season pass holders we like to go to Disneyland at times when the crowds are low..........like Disneyland in the rain! I have never shot the parks in these conditions before and was very surprised at how wonderful it was with all the reflections from the streets etc. Take every opportunity to enjoy moments like this no matter where you are. I used some filters to enhance the reflective surfaces of the rain on a few of these photos. I try to capture unusual and interesting views whenever I can and contantly looking for those opportunities.

Nice collection. I can't help but feel sorry for the people in #2. They're in a ride designed to get them wet, but it's raining, and they don't want to get wet. :D

I used my favorite filter: oil paint in Photoshop CS6.
Thank you Robin!

Well, they paid to enter, so they might as well do all they can.

What a fantastic series, Brent! I love the artistry of #4 and #15. And what a great idea to go in the rain! Its like the park is yours! Of course it helps to be close-- if Phillip and I spent the bucks for tickets, travel, lodging, we'd want it to be sunny and warm. ;)

Very true......and they were wearing rain ponchos so they really stayed mostly dry anyway! AND.............I'm sure there was no lines on that ride since most people had no intentions to get wetter than they already were! lol

Thank you Carly for your enthusiastic and nice comment. Here's a tip for you and Phillip: Go mid week when there is no holiday going on and preferably before or after summer. It will be as least crowded as possible. There is an app for the park that tells what percentage each park is filled up to and also how long of a wait for each ride too.

They are all wonderful.

I think I like #14 best: the happy Mickey Mouse ferris wheel with the vivid flowers in the foreground - nice touch! Even overcast rain clouds cannot entirely subdue the fun cheerfulness of the park.

Thanks Rook for your input. I think my favorite might be the one before that one....#13......I like the colors and how the light plays on the surfaces.

Thanks so much Mike. When I visit Disneyland I'm very concious about taking photos of the not so typical. Each time I go there I see something new and different that I have never seen before.
Example: The Pillar in photo #12
