Photos of Independence Monument in Colorado National Monument Park. The first two are from different locations. After detecting some movement, I switched to a longer lens and took the third. Brave souls!

Nice job! These should be seen downloaded, for the colors are completely different in the download; at least they are on my monitor. Also, those folks on the peak are a lot gutsier than I ever was. That or they are crazy, one of the two. I really enjoyed seeing these images.

AWESOME set!! The first 2 would make beautiful 'wallpaper' or calendar shots!! The 3rd is of some people that are just NUTS for thrills!! Even in my younger, wilder days I would never have tried that!!

The downloads definitely show better definition and color, but that is due to the way the UHH site creates the thumbnails, so it is always nice to be able to view the 'download' versions.

Beautiful shots. In the closeup the two people on the top are very brave or crazy. Probably no elevator to go back down. I always thought going down would be more difficult.

So true, jaymatt. Thanks for suggesting the download.

Great pix. I have driven thru Grand Junction without realizing the monument was so close. Next time, for sure.

Brave souls indeed. Tripod with the longer lens?

No, it was handheld. NEX 7 with 55-210 telephoto. A light combination.
