Finally after 3 days of rain & gloom the sun broke through the clouds and the birds started moving around. Please try the download.

Only way to stop movement in birds is fast shutter speed or burst mode.

Yep certainly agree, just didn't get it done in time. Oh well, hope I do better next time. Thanks for viewing.

You have caught the top one spot on Jim. Its a lovely bird, we don't have that type of Woodpecker over here.

Thanks so much Doddy, really appreciate it. That second one was cool, but so far back in the dark that I couldn't adjust all the bells & whistles on this camera quick enough to stop his movement. Probably shouldn't have posted it, but what he.. it was a cute woodpecker anyway. Thanks again

Wow it is neat to see a bird eating an orange. We have a lot of other fruit trees just not the citrus ones. I didn't know those birds would eat them. Needing their vitamin C I guess. Beautiful capture!

Good morning barbedwire, thanks for stopping by & for the comment, its really appreciated. Yeah it amazes me sometimes how adaptable nature is to nasty weather & hunger. The oranges are sweet so it certainly knows what its doing.
