i've noticed lately that the picture doesn't always need to be "straight", that more and more they are taken tilted - on purpose. what do you think?
tilted
straightened

I prefer straight.
When I was doing weddings, brides did not ask for "Tilted".
I think I have a bride is a similar dress. I'll look around.

It is sometimes part of the total package but then it's usually a major tilt. The small, half-hearted tilt looks more like lazy photography.

the tilted gets in the detailed end of the dress and I like that...ask the bride!

I prefer straight but agree with rivernan that the detail end of the dress needs to be in the picture.

Off Topic.....
The train part of the dress should be spread out and straight. I think this one is too wide for the bridge.
I have found that "it is up to me" to straighten it out...
I'm a guy, what are they thinking???

straight. Should have taken a step back or shot straight.

Agreed, it would look better if the train was spread out ;)

I thnk straight is the appropriate choice for this photo. I believe that there are some photos that the tilted approach would make a great photo.

purposely tilting the camera may be okay for some folks who prefer "edgy" photographs, but in general (and especially for things like weddings), i see no purpose in shooting crooked pictures.
