If you are tired of looking at snow and snow pictures, then why not look at some spring flowers photos. Now spring is not that far. These photos were taken at Brookside Gardens in Wheaton, Maryland.

Hmmmm, seems you have a distinct preference for reds and purples. How did you get the effect in Photo 2?

Looks like what you can get playing with the Distortion effect for Polar Coordinates. Can be done in PhotoShop and PaintShopPro.
