Good morning fellow birders,
Its snowing heavy, and the wind is blowing hard (10* feels like -17), but it doesnt stop my blackcap chickadees from coming out into the cold for food.
Some were worth showing, even though they werent the best, but I liked them for their interest value. I drilled a few large holes in a piece of timber and stapled the pine around the wood. The top has a large feeder, but the snow covered it quickly.
As you can see, some still dont trust he new feeder so they have decide to challenge the snow.
Enjoy,
Rocky
"should have warn my ski glasses
"Peek-a-Boo"
"God, it's cold!"
"Hmmm, I see food."
"Yep, there it is."
"Napkin, please....
"This is my best side...be quick about it, it's cold!!!"

We get the black capped chickadees all the time. Duh, I can't believe I didn't notice that they weren't chickadees. LOL I guess I could blame it on being 73, or that I need knew glasses, but the true is, I just didn't pay attention to the cute little guy. Sorry

Winter shots of birds are pretty, but getting them with snow on the face is top notch! I like the "Peek-a-boo" photo a lot, too. Very unusual.
Excellent set. Love seeing birds from all over the county that we don't get here. You are certainly a good "bird Dad" to keep them fed in the winter.
This is an absolutely beautifu pictures,rs2543!
