Found a new osprey nest being built in the woods

Shooting in the woods this morning, I came upon two ospreys building a nest. One was busy gathering and bringing back twigs and the other guarded the nest. I watched them for about an hour and needless to say I got endless shots of them. I can't wait until they lay their eggs and they hatch!

Now that is something to keep an eye on pedalmasher...Super shots as well.

Thanks Doddy, now that I have found them I will be back often. Not easy to get to so there will not be people around (other than me!).

Thanks, I can't wait until that happens. They are still busy building. I blew the shots of them bringing in nest materials.

Thanks, they definitely are. They are probably not too comfortable with people in that they built their nest in a rather inaccessible area by foot. I heard them and I kept trekking until I found them!
