An attempt at doing something creative on a dark day.
I wanted to use the 28-135 in macro mode and did not like those. I then differ focal lengths with different shutter speeds. I like the darker ones the best because it shows the flame better.
I am always looking to improve what I have done, so you comments and critiques are always welcome. I know that some PP would help on the right side.

Do you have a pic that captures the top and bottom of the lamp? I guess I'm old fashioned in that I like to capture "whole" images.

Here is one that shows some of what I used as the base for this candle.
Try using the same exposure setting for the whole candle and holder that you used for the original download and then crop as you see fit. The candle will still be the center of interest, but the rest of the image will remain as a "frame" for the candle. I tried a quick crop to see how it would look and would probably crop some more off of the bottom of the picture, but would still like to retain some of the ribbon to maybe get some highlights at the bottom of the picture. I like your idea on this.
