The Incredible Great Gray Owl - by request.

Our local Great Gray Owl was a no show today. I felt bad since I had invited one of our Hedgehogs to join me. She had never seen one so this would have been a 'lifer' for her. Danielle wouldn't give up and was still there when I left so I'm hoping she did manage to get at least a glimpse. The temperature this morning was -26C (-14.8F) with a wind chill of -30C (-22F). I give her credit for even being out there.
It has been requested that I post more images of Great Grays. I've chosen some from last spring's session. The weather was better then and the owl was amazingly cooperative.

Awesome! Looks so wise and all-knowing,and tolerant. these are just amazing captures and I am excited to get these glimpses of it.

And it was his tolerance that made this one so unique, Carla. We spent two days with him and were kept in awe.
I've never gone through so many images of a single bird. Some were printed and are sold. Thank you lady. Much appreciated.
