No, that is actually water It was just exiting the pond. I had a pretty narrow depth of field and very calm water. If you are referring to what is in front of him then I'm not sure what that is.

Question: did you see this turtle in the wild in Oregon? Back in the 50's and 60's this species was widely sold in the pet trade, and there are breeding populations near cities all around the US originating from escaped pets. I am curious where you were when you shot this. Thanks.

I guess that would be your definition of captive - I am sure the parks people put them there but they just seem to run wild. Lots of them around the ponds
