Thank you so much! I used a Nikon D80 on this shoot. Set on auto focus and no flash.

Very, very nice set of portraits! They are well composed, lit and exposed. My only change would be to attempt to crop the third photo in portrait orientation. I can tell you were using flash, maybe just fill flash because the irises are all dilated. Nice job!

As usual, beautiful. I love the last one with the girls sticking their heads around the wall. Very cute and beautiful place to photograph. Where is it? If you are not a pro then you should be!

Thanks so much for the compliment! This location is in Lehi, Utah. This particular shoot was for my son and his family. I have a large family and photograph them all for free. I am 65 and retired. I don't need the money, so I do a lot of free shoots for people who cannot afford to pay a photographer. I charge for some...very little. I give my clients a CD of up to 100 edited shots and release the copyrights. I help them order their photos and even help with placement in their home. I don't need the money and love to be able to give back to my community in this way. It is so fun and rewarding to be learning a new skill late in life. I hope to keep improving and not get lazy.

Your comments mean a lot to me. I love the critiques and have learned so much from the honest feedback. Thanks for writing.

Thanks! You know, you might be right about the flash. I thought we turned it off because the sun was so bright...but...maybe not!

I love your work and your comment is very much appreciated!

That's how I got into the wedding business 20 years ago. I did poor folks weddings from my church for cost.

I will NEVER do weddings! Too much pressure! I really only want to photograph children, but do families by default.
