I toured Alcatraz long ago. It was fascinating. Good shot. Did you also tour San Quentin? That is interesting, too.

We got as far as the front gate and that was about it. Never have spent too much time around Frisco, can stay here in Oregon and get their weather. We are going in 12 days but only to catch a 15 day round trip to Hawaii on Princess Lines. Looking forward to some good photo opportunities

I went on a Warden's Tour in the late 1960s. They probably don't do them any more. It was really something. We got to eat prison dinner in the cafeteria, and inmates put on a show. Ooh, your trip sounds great. Have fun! Lots to see and photograph in and and around San Francisco if you get to spend more time there.

More light than inmates ever saw. Personally, would like to see it a bit darker and foreboding. Neat shot tho!
