Hi everyone. I am new to the site but I took up photography as a serious hobby about 3 years ago. I have been using a Sony 850 and video/photos with a Sony 5n. Is there anything you should do to a photo (anti-aliasing, etc) when putting it in a video? I have noticed if you put a photo directly into a video, the image does not seem sometimes as sharp as it would appear on a monitor or printed. Thanks for any help in this matter.
Remember that video, including HD video, is LOW RESOLUTION next to a DSLR at full resolution. Some video applications do not like to work with images above 4,000 pixels. I have done a LOT of still images to video animations, and found it best to pre-size and optimize the images for video. Sometimes, portions of an image need just the tiniest amount of blur to prevent moire problems. Under competent software, like Final Cut Pro (Mac) the images, after rendering the animation, should look their very best on your TV.
