I took some pics while vacationing down on the Yucatan peninsula - just south of Cancun on the Riviera Maya. I took a shot of a cruise ship on the horizon after sun-up and it was heading into a storm towards Cozumel. In PP I added some contrast and cropped it. I then converted the shot to BW. Not sure which one I prefer? Your comments much appreciated. Thanks for viewing!
"Philadelphia Experiment" near the Yucatan - color

B&W often tends to create a more dramatic image, HOWEVER, in this case that sunset coloring makes the color image more dramatic and appealing IMHO.
I think there's more detail in the color photo!

I would pick color in this particular shot.

Love the color shot. The clouds appear more ominous and oppressive in contrast with the golden light below. Perhaps the B&W could be more dramatic at a higher rez, but, here, online, it's the color one.
I am a B&W fan, but here I prefer the color. Nice shot!
Thank you for your feedback WaHawk, and I agree with you! I think I submitted the wrong photo to scrutinize. I think a wider FOV should have been submitted in the first place! :XD: Try this one.
Nice photo, another color vote, but I do like the BW as well, print and matte them together?
