I got a kick out of this pushy great blue heron looking for a handout and shot this very quickly occurring sequence this morning during my morning shooting adventure.

Thanks Carly Sue, tramsey, Brian, PP, Jim and erbiv! Florida birds are rather used to being around people. I almost tripped over one pelican - I was shooting and walking and he was not about to move! :)

It was like a maintenance shack by the beach. I think they give handouts to the birds quite a bit.
Great shots! I have never seen one "around town". He must have been hanging around with some seagulls to learn these tricks! Nice capture!

Thanks, I used to have one that lived in my back yard when I lived on a lake. He was a permanent resident.
