It was New Years day and quite foggy. This guy was trying to eat the starfish and I guess he was in the mood to show off what he caught.

Now that is something I have never seen! I had no idea they'd eat a star fish...I had no idea any of these birds would feast on one. Do they crack them open to eat star fish guts? Certainly they don't just swallow these, do they?

Very nice, sharp and odd photo. I hear that starfish are dying off in the Pacific off the coast of B.C.

Nice shot and a good catch ...for both you and the gull! I have seen gulls eat all kinds of things, or try to do so, but never a star fish.

That's a very interesting photo. I never saw a Seagull with a Starfish in it's beak. When your hungry you'll eat almost anything.
