So, I was thinking about all the New Year's Resolutions we have conjured up. I'm sure that we all had some pretty interesting ideas! Then, I thought, resolution also has photographic implications! Photo resolution means Clarity or "Fineness of detail that can be distinguished in an image"( American Heritage Dictionary)
SO, maybe it could be a two prong interpretation!
Wow! That opens up quite a large list of possibilities for this Challenge.. Looking forward to your responses and artistic creativity ;)

Ok, like RR, I have abandoned the idea of New Year's gambles.

Here are some contrasts in resolution.

A measure of sharp detailed resolution is have you 'stopped the water droplets' in their motion.

Here are 3 Lobster Harbours. Overcast, rain, drizzle, fog day, & bright sun with a little breeze disturbing the reflections from land.

In this lot I sure have done best to get a sharp pic with the sunny day and smaller depth field.

Rainy day and obviously wrong tide to go collect the catch
