Robin, I shot a 1964 this summer also but these people put a different motor in it for whatever reason. Would you like to see it?

SWEET the lil 289 was a legend of a lil motor, high rpm horsepower was the strong point of this lil dynamo, with a large 4 inch bore and a little 2.87 stroke it gre upo to be the 302 in 68 and was in production for decades.Shelby cobra and the GT 350 as well as the mustang , and farlaine were powered bny the 271 and 306 hp version/
Even Sunbeam used the 289. Wonderful car you have there Hope you enjoy!

Hey Bruce! Ya lost me on all the gearhead talk. Anyway, this one belongs to a buddy of mine. This is what he does in the winter when the only thing goin' on is feeding cattle. The most work I ever did on a vehicle was helping a pal in CA re-build a 1949 Willies. Sure wish I had that one...it would take you anywhere you wanted to go. Phew...now THAT was a real workhorse of the 4-wheel type.

Love it Robin! Beautiful car,,I actually owned one of these years ago. I bought it from my brother in law after backing into its passenger door! whoops! It was more of a brown color and not as nice as yours for sure, but it was a nice car...wish I had kept it along with at least 5 other cars that would have been worth a lot of money now. I once traded a 68 mustang fastback for a VW Bug! Stupid is as Stupid does huh? Oh and later I wrecked the Bug in the rain going about 10 MPH and totally crushed the front end in! I guess if I had been doing 30 I would have died

Don't I WISH it were mine! Again...belongs to the same guy who owns the 1935 Plymouth Deluxe Coupe. Talkin' about vehicles that we should have saved...I had a '68 Dodge Charger, 2 barrel, that is now worth about 10x what it sold for new. I think I actually paide arount $2,000 when I bought it...now it's worth a whole bunch of $$$! Dang...too bad hindsight is 20/20 vision, eh?

Got that right. I always like to think that if ya live in the past, you'll never have a future. <grins>

Oh wow - the memories you guys bring to life. My first vehicle - a '49 Studebaker pick up, a '58 Impala and '58 Catalina I once had. The 3 '72 Volswagen bugs I had (one I made into a baby carraige and entered it in auto shows back in the late 70s). aaaaahhhh - the memories.............

Wowwweeee!!! Love these John!
I need to go back and take some more photos. As you can see, the ones I took were in the shed with available light. One of these days, I'll have him pull it out where I can get some good stuff. Thinkin'....maybe...in the SNOW? (Not!) <Laf'n>
