You did a great job capturing the Heron through all the brush.It looks like there is ice on the water. Very interesting.

Very nice. It looks sharp, you could crop in tighter if you wanted to emphasize the bird.

Thanks for the comments guys, I finally got around to cleaning these up a little. Spotted him across the river and after crossing over I only got one shot off before he took flew off, using a 18-105mm lens, thinking I may look into investing in longer lens.

I think the crop really helps. I do not mean to be nit-picking, but perhaps cropping some off the top, to perhaps the heavy branch crossing the picture near the top would, in my opinion, really make the heron stand out. I really like this picture.
