Hi. my name is Jim. I live in Ashland Oregon, and partime in Lake Forest Calfornia. I am retired and have become hooked on digital photgraphy. I have several cameras,
a Canon G9; A Panasonic LX3; a Canon 5D Mark II; and a Rebel T3i. I started processsing using Adobe Elements four years ago. and started using Adobe Lightroom and CS-5 several years ago. I have been training with David Vanderlip in Ashland, OR, attenting many of his clases and photoshoots, and also abut two hours each week with him as consultant.
I mostly shoot Landscapes, moutain lakes, Desert, sea shore, boats, architecture and have begun lplaying with night photography. I have had the good luck of having the timeto spend learning and practising. I am an amatuer but have captures some great images.
I have the unique situation that I have someone who can explain the technical details of the software and how to use the cameras, lighting, Exposure compensation, Panaramas, HDR, etc. I also use Autopano Pro and Photo Matrix for HDR. I mostly take 3 exposure shots, even for panos. Aupano can process hundrdes of images and stitch them, sot it will both process HDR and stitch tall wide panos.
