Hello, I live in South Dakota, am new to this site and I hope to learn a lot about digital cameras in this forum. I will be looking forward to the many topics posted on this site

Hey, new one. Me too. I have no count of the rolls of film I shot out of the Yellow Kodak box, but I have found digital to be very new in terms I am having to learn anew.

I have close to thousands (no lie) and I am now scanning them. Of course, I am picking sample of the better ones, filing some and throwing many away. Scanning is a very time consuming task.

I am 85 now and have resorted to point and shoot but did pro weddings for 17 years. Came to a point where it became a young man's game.I sold out, but still.have an interest. Best wishes as you scan!

I have a Nikon D300 which I have been skeptical to download the "upgrades" for it. I recently purchased a 300ED F4 AF lens. Most of my other lenses - I have to use the camera on manual. It does not bother me to do that but for moving birds and wildlife I wanted an autofocus lens - now I have to learn more about using it.
