Canon (2Ti) split image issues

Lately some of my images appear to be processed differently, that is with bands processed differently, inside the camera (irrespective of computer used to view images) and successive images of the same subject, random, some darker some lighter (not by bracketing). My Tokina images (ultra wide angle) are also much lighter that those taken with Tamron (even at the same angle (16,17mm respectively) Any thoughts as to what might be causing this?
